A mid sized Bank (300 employees) approached SC with view to review their Microsoft E5 license costs. They had challenges with getting clarity on what they are paying for license vs the managed services of offer.
Spirited Clouds provided a comprehensive in depth analysis of the existing set up focused on Microsoft Licensing over a course of 20 days.
The results were phenomenal. We identified there were cost savings of 23% to be realised through optimizing the existing Licensing set up.
As a result, the client requested for further deep dive with our expert consultants to review how they could enhance the user experiences via use of best in class technology to suit their needs.

We delivered the following:
- Optimized Licenses by eliminating wastage where employees had left the bank / were in roles that did not require the full suite of MS 365 products.
- Introduced Cloud software Microsoft Dynamics 365 to monitor branch traffic patterns & customer account activity. Also trained and set up collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams to streamline credit applications & use of telephone system managed by Microsoft Teams.
- Optimal licensing structure prepared to seamlessly integrate Microsoft Cloud with cost considerations and flexibility.
- We worked in collaboration with their existing Technology Teams
The University embarked upon modification of its IT Infrastructure to rapidly be in line with the latest developments and to have methods to support improved online learning.
During COVID the university faced an urgent need to facilitate remote working and provide remote access for its students within a tight timeframe. They had minimal options and rapidly implemented what they thought was the best approach at the time.
The tooling they had in place was not providing the optimal learning experiences so they embarked upon a journey with our expertise.
We delivered the following:
- Implemented the best Licensing structure for the University based on the requirements which led to additional need for other MS product integrations listed below.
- Introduced Microsoft Azure and its Azure Migration Program.
- Deployed Azure Cosmos Database for storage (globally distributed, multi-model database).
- Use of Azure Lab Services to configure Virtual Machines for lecturers enabling them to deliver lessons online.
- Rollout of Microsoft Teams for online learning. The tools enhanced the learning experience for the students & provided Universities with the flexibility.
- We offered the University the option of a fully managed service
The project was successfully concluded in a matter of weeks, a significant acceleration compared to the originally anticipated timeline of months.

This company had a user base of approximately 4000 employees. They had rapidly bought into several of the Microsoft Technologies but with limited understanding of strategic the Licensing impacts.
They were seeking to significantly improve communications across the internal teams and identify safe secure methods to continue online consultations with patients.

- Detailed analysis of their current Microsoft Licensing posture. This highlighted their heavy usage of Microsoft 365F, Azure Active Directory & MS 365 Security Add-on
- We identified they were NOT using almost half of the licensing they were currently paying for & hence reduced costs by 30%
- The licensing set up also included access to Microsoft Teams. Hence we deployed this and delivered user training.
